It fits across the entire width of my oven. I have used it a few times, and it seems to work great. It did give off some chemical odor at first, which seems less now. This is the reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5. I believe it is made of "cordierite" which, as far as I know, is considered the best material for a pizza stone.

This is large as baking stones go, with less than 1" clearance on both sides of the oven. Because of this, you may need to remove it when cooking certain other items - the heat does not circulate as well. It is the best quality stone I have used.

It is exactly 22.5 inches wide. Because of the type of racks in my oven, 22 inches is the maximum size I could use. The package shows 22.5 inches, but the description on Amazon shows 22. That 1/2 inch makes a big difference.
